Deutsches Historisches Museum and Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz Condemn Terrorist Attack on Israel – Joint Statement

The Deutsches Historisches Museum and the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz have been left stunned by the attack on Israel. We are appalled by these atrocious crimes, by the cruelty and malice of the perpetrators, and by the lack of conscience and foolish naivety of those who support and defend them. With an awareness of German history and the German reason of state that follows from it, we stand by Israel’s side. We mourn the many victims and convey our sympathy to their families. We pray that the injured will recover and the hostages will be released. At the same time, we wish to denounce all forms of anti-Semitism. As cultural and academic institutions, we bear a responsibility to ensure that there is no place in this society for anti-Semitism.
