Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart
Hamburger Bahnhof and the Volkswagen Group are welcoming winter with a special weekend of events and activities for children, teens and families. Participatory tours of the current presentations, creative workshops located in the exhibitions, pop-up studios throughout the entire museum, and ongoing opportunities for self-guided exploration invite young and old to linger, create and marvel on Saturday and Sunday, 29 and 30 November 2025.
For two days, visitors can view art and also actively join in creating it. Participatory tours through the current exhibitions allow visitors to experience art differently. In a workshop, winter greetings from Hamburger Bahnhof, visitors create their own winter greetings on postcards that can then be mailed on site. In a puppet workshop in the Rieckhallen Studio, children construct their own shadow figures, which are then brought to life on a small stage.
A weekend devoted entirely to children sends a strong signal: Hamburger Bahnhof sees itself not only as a place of art but also as one oriented towards the future – open, lively and relevant for the next generation.
Admission is free for children and teens under 18. During the special weekend, they can also bring two of their favourite adults with them free of charge.
The Volkswagen Group Art4All Children’s Weekend at Hamburger Bahnhof is sponsored by Volkswagen Group, a partner of the Nationalgalerie.
