Video documentation of the conference "The Idea of the Global Museum"

Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart

The conference "The Idea of the Global Museum " took place at Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin in December 2016. All lectures are now avaiable in a video documentary.

This conference is part of a project, which explores the Nationalgalerie Collection with respect to its international and transregional entanglements. Over two days, conference participants offered specific knowledges and points of view:

  • What are the effects of a “global” approach on museum work past, present, and future?
  • What are its necessities, possibilities, and challenges?
  • Is there a common denominator for “global” museum practice?
