Tomorrow’s Designers at Kunstgewerbemuseum: Opening of “German Design Graduates 2019” and Design Talks

10.10.2019
Kunstgewerbemuseum

Join the Kunstgewerbemuseum at the opening of „German Design Graduates 2019" on 10 Octobre 2019 and at the Design Talks from 11 to 13 Octobre 2019.

From October 11, 2019 onwards, students from twelve different design schools in Germany take over the Kunstgewerbemuseum’s renaissance department. As part of the German Design Graduates initiative, 42 final theses from the field of product and industrial design can be found next to the museum’s collection of tapestries and masterpieces of goldsmithing from the 16th century. Arranged in thematic clusters, visitors will learn how young designers will deal with topics such as transport, digitality or public space in the future.

The Kunstgewerbemuseum is pleased to host the very first edition of this event. The exhibition will open on Thursday 10 October 2019 at 8 pm. Register now on Eventbrite! The contemporary design discourse will be continued in the format of four Design Talks distributed over the weekend – with Stefan Diez, DEAR Magazine, Alice Rawthorn and DAMNº Magazine.
