Tickets now on sale for the "The Botticelli Renaissance" exhibition

15.01.2015
Gemäldegalerie

On 15.1.2015 the box office opened for the major exhibition entitled 'The Botticelli Renaissance'. The exhibition focuses on the renowned painter Sandro Botticelli and runs from 24.9.2015 to 24.1.2016 in the Gemäldegalerie (Gallery of Old Masters). Pictures on loan from around the globe document the process by which Botticelli has been co-opted as a brand. The show presents pieces by major artists such as Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol and René Magritte and takes a fresh look at the Botticelli's own work.

Flexi-Tickets for the show are available for purchase online from the Ticket Shop of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. With the Flexi-Ticket you choose a block of three consecutive days on which the ticket can be used for a single viewing of the exhibition. You are then free to decide the exact day and time of your visit. The ticket also covers the permanent exhibition of the Gemäldegalerie.

The exhibition is being mounted jointly with the Victoria and Albert Museum and has received support from Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, LOTTO-Stiftung Berlin, the Kaiser Friedrich-Museums-Verein and the Italienisches Kulturinstitut Berlin.
