The Technique of Repair: Visit the Repair Atelier in the Kunstgewerbemuseum!

Consume less, repair more - what would be the environmental, economic and social impact of this approach? As part of the Design Lab #5 Times of Waste, lecturers from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg together with their students have set up a repair studio in the Kunstgewerbemuseum's exhibition space. 

In the spirit of a repair café, the reparability of technical equipment is explored as a sustainable strategy and the underlying philosophical questions are reflected upon. Of course, visitors are invited to conduct their own research in the Repair Atelier of the Kunstgewerbemuseum. The supporting programme provides the space for this:

• on some days students will use the room as a project workshop for repair experiments,
• on other days lectures are held or
• a curator from the house guides through the exhibition in tandem with a repair specialist.
