Due to sustained visitor interest, opening hours have been extended on the last weekend of 'The Botticelli Renaissance'. From Friday, 22 January to Sunday, 24 January visitors will have opportunity to see art by Sandro Botticelli and later artists who have interpreted his work – such as Andy Warhol, Bill Viola, Edgar Degas, and many others – from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Due to the high demand, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin is also offering additional dates for public guided tours: now available daily at 14:30 as well as at 10:30, 17:00, and 18:30 on 21 January, 23 January, and 24 January.
Following the presentation in Berlin, the exhibition will go on show from 5 March until 3 July 2016 in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, under the new name 'Botticelli Reimagined'.
The exhibition 'The Botticelli Renaissance' is a collaboration between the Gemäldegalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. The exhibition is sponsored by the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, the LOTTO-Stiftung Berlin, and the Kaiser Friedrich Museumsverein.
