Kulturforum
ARTE-Sommerkino opens at the Kulturforum on Wednesday, 1 June 2022. Until the end of August, the most popular films of recent months are being shown on a gigantic screen between the Philharmonie and the Neue Nationalgalerie. Tickets are available online. Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the evening box office.
As in past seasons, the Yorck Kinogruppe has organised the summer cinema event in collaboration with the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and the German-French cultural television broadcaster ARTE. They have once again put together a varied and entertaining programme. The preview of the ‘Der schlimmste Mensch der Welt’ (‘The Worst Person in the World’) – one of the top films screened last year in Cannes and nominated for two Academy Awards (Oscars) ‒ gets the programme off to a brilliant start.
In addition to screenings and previews attended by film teams, the Jüdische Filmfest Berlin Brandenburg (JFBB) and the Surf Film Nacht (Surf Independent Film Night) are back as special guests in June.
The published programme can be downloaded: www.sommerkino.berlin. Tickets are available online for 10 euros; remaining tickets can be purchased at the evening box office for 12 euros. Aside from beverages and snacks, blankets are also offered for sale on cooler evenings.
