About the Museum

MEETING, a special event, is part of “ABOUT THE MUSEUM”, an educational initiative for students, which began in the 2017 summer semester. The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin has been intensifying its collaborations with students and universities in Berlin through programmes like “ABOUT THE MUSEUM”, with the aim of consolidating and expanding the network between students, universities and museums. Special focus is placed upon interdisciplinary cooperation. Questions about how art can best be communicated are intended to encourage students not only to discover a museum’s potential spheres of activity and impact, but to learn how to actively shape these approaches as well.

"About the museum" is funded by the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, the main sponsor of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
