The Siglo de Oro – the Golden Age of Spanish art – is one of the most important chapters in European cultural history. The full scale of the fascinating variety of 17th-century Spanish painting and sculpture is currently on show for the first time outside Spain in this exhibition, featuring over 130 masterpieces by Velázquez, El Greco, Francisco de Zurbarán, and Bartolomé E. Murillo, as well as artists previously little known in Germany, such as Alonso Cano and Gregorio Fernández. This is the last chance to see the exhibition before it closes on 30 October.
