The Neue Nationalgalerie and the Volkswagen Group are extending their partnership, which has been in place since 2012, for a further two years. The Volkswagen Group Art4All initiative will launch on Thursday, 2 April 2026, in a new monthly format with an even more extensive, free programme of educational activities and live events.

The core aim of Volkswagen Group Art4All is to make cultural content and ideas accessible and tangible to as many people as possible, and to lower barriers to engaging with art and culture. In 2025, Volkswagen Group Art4All reached over 130,000 visitors at the Neue Nationalgalerie alone.

From Thursday 2 April 2026, admission to the Neue Nationalgalerie will be free on the first Thursday of every month from 4 pm to 8 pm as part of the Volkswagen Group Art4All initiative. During this time, all special exhibitions and collection presentations will be accessible free of charge – for the first time complemented by an extensive supporting program featuring educational activities and live events, the content of which is aligned with the exhibition program.

Under the motto “Learning Together”, short guided tours will take place regullary in German, English and easy-to-understand language. AskMe art educators are on hand in the exhibitions for conversations, questions and inspiration. Creative workshops on exhibition-related topics are offered in the Open Studio. Specially developed live events round off the programme. To kick things off, the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Volkswagen Group are hosting a free special concert on 2 April 2026 featuring the French pianist David Kadouch.
