More than 250,000 People Have Seen “Cinderella, Sindbad & Sinuhe”: Finissage on 16 August 2019

More than 250,000 people have already seen the special exhibition "Cinderella, Sindbad & Sinuhe: Arabic-German Storytelling Traditions at the Neues Museum". The show was organized by the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung in cooperation with the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA), and will wrap up with a finissage on Friday 16 August, featuring appearances by the singer Adham Elsaid and author Nora Amin.

To round up the exhibition, the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung are inviting audiences to a unique evening of music and storytelling.

  • When: Friday, 16 August 2019, at 7 p.m., doors: 6:15 p.m.
  • Where: The Greek Courtyard of the Neues Museum
  • Performance: Adham Elsaid, singer from the Egyptian band Wust el-Balad and author and actor Nora Amin will perform together with the musicians Kareem Kandiel (oud) and Hakam Wahbi (percussion) set in an elaborately staged story.
  • Programme: Specially created for the exhibition, Nora Amin’s programme Isis and Osiris – Naassa and Ayyoub: Stories Travelling Through Time weaves together Ancient Egyptian and modern cultural heritage from myths and stories in a free artistic interpretation and adaptation.
