Museum Europäischer Kulturen
On Sunday, 22 September 2024, 12‒8 pm, the Museum Europäischer Kulturen (Museum of European Cultures, MEK) celebrates a special focus day about what comes after menopause and also joins visitors to toast the news that “Flow: The Exhibition on Menstruation” has been extended for a few more months.
Menopause – and then off to the sidelines? Hardly! Menopause is the final phase of menstruation, but it is far from the end of an active, fulfilled life. And why should it be? Initiatives, such as the online magazine Palais F*luxx, the podcast “Meno an mich”, and the Scottish Menopause Festival educate, entertain, inform and unmistakably show that opportunities to take part in big projects and new beginnings continue way beyond menopause.
All programmes are included in museum admission ‒ no advance registration is required.
All events are held in German unless otherwise noted. The event location is barrier-free accessible, with some limitations: Information about barrier-free accessibility at the MEK.
