Launch of the lab.Bode Digital Resources Pool on 17 February 2021: A Digital Platform and Source of Inspiration for Educational Activities at the Museum

With its lab.Bode Digital Resources Pool, the lab.Bode – Initiative to Strengthen Museum Education – a joint programme of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation) and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin – is introducing a new web-based platform for museum education at museums. The Digital Resources Pool compiles topics, practical examples, reflections on past projects and methods for conveying an engaged and timely form of cultural communication, with the aim of providing impulses for museums and practitioners in fields of cultural education. We invite you to join us on 17 February 2021 from 6:30 – 8 pm for the launch of the lab.Bode Digital Resources Pool via Zoom.

lab.Bode Digital Resources Pool – Playful Use and Plural Perspectives

Users of the digital platform will find lectures from discourse series; practical examples in the form of texts, videos, audio contributions, photos and illustrations; and a collection of methodologies. The focus of lab.Bode’s practices is particularly on collaborations between schools and museums, so there are many practical examples in this section. Users can dive into pools of resources layer by layer, browse through the subject areas and playfully discover the topics.

The makers of lab.Bode Digital Resources Pool have placed special emphasis on diversity. Many different voices, ranging from freelancers to international experts in diverse fields, have their say on the digital platform about museum education activities and processes of change in museums.

The digital platform is currently filled with 60% of the intended content. Following the launch, the lab.Bode Digital Resources Pool will continue to expand until September 2021.
