The Museum of European Culture is a cooperation partner for a student project at HTW Berlin – University of Applied Sciences. The interactive and participatory online exhibition on the current protest movement is now online: www.laboratoryofdreams.net.

Europe is a community often described with the words openness, peace and solidarity. But how open is this place to people who do not come from Europe? Is there really peace in Europe? And how much solidarity is there in the individual European states?

The participatory online exhibition “Laboratory of Dreams” attempts to explore these questions. For one year, students in the Master’s program in Museum Management and Communication at the HTW Berlin have been intensively studying  current protest and solidarity movements. In the process, they have met people involved in the protests and asked them what drives them. “Labor Europa” (Laboratory Europe) offers activists working to implement European values a chance to speak about their motivations and goals.

The Online Content

On the website www.laboratoryofdreams.net students take on the roles of ambassadors presenting their own local protests in Berlin, within international movements in Europe, and in global environmental and climate protection campaigns in which they fight against injustice and for more solitarity.

“Laboratory of Dreams” is for everyone who has a vision of a better future ‒- regardless of whether you have ever taken action or not. In the online exhibition, you can share your own visions with others and upload photos or videos
