Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg
The now-traditional summer event is taking place on Friday, 12 June 2026. It is co-hosted by the Bröhan-Museum, the Rathgen-Forschungslabor (Rathgen Research Laboratory) and the Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg ‒ Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, as well as by the Freie Universität Berlin’s Abguss-Sammlung Antiker Plastik (collection of casts of ancient sculpture). A varied exhibition and event programme, as well as culinary offerings available in the Bettina Berggruen Garden, await visitors at the shared building ensemble adjacent to Schloss Charlottenburg (Palace) ‒ with free admission to all the exhibitions and events.
The exhibition Paperwork – Jumping He. Blackbox #18 is opening at the Bröhan-Museum. Tours are available for this show and the exhibition Edward W. Godwin and Oscar Wilde: Dandies Decadence Modernism. The museum also features a creative hands-on station for both children and adults.
The Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg offers tours to the special exhibition “Possibilities of an Island: Thinking in Images from Gerstenberg to Scharf” and an open studio.
The Rathgen-Forschungslabor presents the poster exhibition Gedruckt, gezeichnet, gewandelt – Einblicke in Papier und Farbe (Printed, Drawn, Transformed – Insights into Paper and Colour) and offers numerous live lectures.
There are tours of the Abguss-Sammlung Antiker Plastik that also provide an introduction to the techniques used to produce casts.
The Bettina Berggruen Garden invites visitors to enjoy summery rendezvous over beverages and a small array of menu choices.
