02.11.2011
Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung

The scholarship programme, which was launched in 2009, enables scholars from all over the world to undertake one- to three-month research residencies at the institutions of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin − Preußischer Kulturbesitz (National Museums in Berlin − Prussian Cultural Heritage).

Funding is available for various research projects related to the multifaceted institutions of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. The programme aims to strengthen the international network of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and therefore primarily addresses foreign researchers. In addition, the promotion of young researchers is of particular concern to the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. The grants are intended to enable scientists to work on their own research project at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, make professional contacts and participate in the academic and cultural life of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.

The other institutions of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz, i.e. the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (State Library), Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Secret State Archives Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation), and the Staatliche Institut für Musikforschung (State Institute for Music Research) provide a joint scholarship programme. Please find further information on http://www.preussischer-kulturbesitz.de. In addition, the Ibero-American Institute also offers its own scholarship programme. Please find further information on www.iai.spk-berlin.de.

Application deadline for scholarships in 2014 is the 20th of September, 2013.
