Enjoy more time during an exhibition visit: Starting on Friday, 14 August 2026, the special exhibition Cassirer and the Breakthrough of Impressionism at the Alte Nationalgalerie is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30 am to 7 pm.
The exhibition is dedicated to Paul Cassirer (1871–1926), one of the most important art dealers and art advocates of his time. Featuring more than 120 works, it highlights Cassirer’s central role in the spread of Impressionism and the emerging avant-garde in Germany. Works by artists including Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir and Vincent van Gogh, as well as by Max Liebermann, Max Slevogt, Gabriele Münter and Ernst Barlach, are on view.
