Since 13 November 2025, visitors to the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin have been able to make donations when purchasing tickets online. By doing so, they are supporting the museums in their efforts to develop educational and outreach programmes for children and teens.
The new donation option in the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Online Ticketshop will initially run for four months as a pilot project. Plans are in place to expand this system later to other donation channels.
Making donations through the online ticket shop is possible with as little as 2 euros, and higher amounts can, of course, be chosen. The donation is paid together with the selected tickets and credited to a separate donation account.
All major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and PayPal, are accepted as payment methods.
Upon request, a donation receipt will be automatically provided for tax return documentation.
Every donation helps to promote cultural education and provide new opportunities for children and teenagers to access art and culture. Thank you very much for your support!
