Museum Berggruen
Until closing time on 4 September 2022, there is still time to see the classical Modernist collection at the Museum Berggruen in Berlin-Charlottenburg. After that, the museum is closing for a three-year major renovation, during which time the collection is going on tour around the world.
There are only a few days left to visit the permanent exhibition “Picasso and His Time”, in which the Museum Berggruen presents works in the collection by Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse and Alberto Giacometti, as well as Georges Braque, Henri Laurens and Paul Cézanne.
As part of the Long Night of Museums on Saturday, 27 August 2022, you can visit the Highlights of the Collection until 2 am and view, for example, Paul Cézanne’s Portrait de Madame Cézanne (1885) and Pablo Picasso’s Le chandail jaune (The Yellow Sweater, 1939).
As of 5 September, the Museum Berggruen is undergoing extensive refurbishments and renovations planned through 2025. During this period, the works in the collection will be on tour. Tokyo is the first station of the international exhibition tour in the fall of 2022.
