Nationalgalerie's Berlin Art Week special event programme starts with free admission at Hamburger Bahnhof on September 14 from 6 to 10 pm, continues with a Performance Night at the Neue Nationalgalerie on 16 September from 6 pm to midnight and ends with free admission on 18 September at Hamburger Bahnhof.

14 September: Free admission at Hamburger Bahnhof from 6 pm

During Berlin Art Week, on 14 September 2022, Hamburger Bahnhof opens cameron clayborn’s first museum solo exhibition with free admission from 6 to 10 pm.

16 September: Performance Night at the Neue Nationalgalerie

In tribute to artist Simone Forti, a ‟Performance Night at the Neue Nationalgalerie” ‒ including a DJ and cash bar ‒ will be held place on 16 September from 6 pm until midnight.

18 September: Free admission and event programme at Hamburger Bahnhof

As Berlin Art Week concludes on 18 September 2022 the exhibitions cameron clayborn. nothing left to be, Under Construction, Balance, and for the last time, Church for Sale”, and the 12th Berlin Biennale, Still Present!” are on display at Hamburger Bahnhof. Visitors can take advantage of short tours and one-on-one talks throughout the day. No prior reservations are required. Admission to the museum is free all day. The museum can be visited on this day without an admission ticket.

  • 3 - 4 pm: The political dimension of art: Public tour through the exhibition Chruch for Sale
    To what extent do artists understand their art as a political activity? What do they denounce? What do they stand up for? In the tour through the exhibition "Church for Sale", sculptures, photographs, graphics, wall and video works will be discussed as examples. The specially designed exhibition architecture, which critically refers to the development plan around the Hamburger Bahnhof, will also be discussed.
