Neue Nationalgalerie

For a year now, since 5 January 2023, admission to the Neue Nationalgalerie has been free on Thursdays from 4 pm to 8 pm as part of the Volkswagen Group Art4All initiative. Around 70,000 visitors took advantage of the free admission to the Neue Nationalgalerie on 52 days in 2023, participating in tours and events. The Volkswagen Group Art4All is being maintained throughout 2024, continuing to make it possible for numerous people to visit the museum free of charge.

The Neue Nationalgalerie is a unique place to discover art. We want this experience to be available to as many people as possible. Volkswagen is a partner who is equally committed to this goal and who actively supports us in being an art venue for everyone.

Klaus Biesenbach, director of the Neue Nationalgalerie

With its Volkswagen Group Art4All initiative, Volkswagen has been providing people with access to art and culture since 2018 – through free admission to current exhibitions and various collections, as well as in the form of free educational programmes. The project has been developed in partnership with the Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. Volkswagen Group ART4ALL takes place at two Staatliche Museen zu Berlin venues at different times: at the Neue Nationalgalerie and at Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart.
