The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin is launching a special series of lunchtime art talks this summer. Director-General Michael Eissenhauer will give three lunchtime talks on selected paintings and objects on show in the collection displays at the Kulturforum.
The series kicked off with a talk in the Kunstgewerbemuseum on the Bürgereidkristall ('civil oath crystal' reliquary) from the Lüneburg city council silver treasure (6 May). The series continues with talks on the Dreikönigsaltar (Three Kings Altarpiece) by Hans Baldung Grien (1 July) and the Schussenried Altarpiece by Bernhard Strigel (9 September), both in the Gemäldegalerie.
The lunchtime talks will take place at 12:30 and last approximately 30 minutes.
Participation is free (participants only need to pay for museum admission).
