Museum Europäischer Kulturen
Visitors of all ages are invited to the Museum Europäischer Kulturen (MEK, Museum of European Cultures) in Berlin-Dahlem on 6 December 2025 to usher in Advent. From 12 noon to 5 pm, the MEK will offer a varied programme of activities relating to the Advent season.
There will be opportunities to create Christmas cards and make lauhala stars with Hawaiian weaving techniques. At the KAFFEE! café, visitors can bake and decorate delicious holiday biscuits. The mechanical Weihnachtsberg from the Erzgebirge region, a nativity scene set on a hillside with 328 figures, is presented during guided tours, while winter fairytales also enchant visitors. A Christmas sing-along rounds off this special day in a festive atmosphere.
