James-Simon-Galerie
The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin is inviting the public to take part in a huge activity day in the new central entry building of the Museumsinsel, the James-Simon-Galerie, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on 13 July 2019. Workshops offer children and families the chance to learn about the architecture of the new building, while exhibition talks for adults discuss the architecture in more detail, and introduce audiences to some of the highlights in the Neues Museum and the Pergamonmuseum. Curators will talk about the significance of the James-Simon-Galerie from the perspective of their various collections. Musical entertainment, a round of museum bingo, along with snacks and beverages will cap off the programme.
