ABC of Travel exhibition extended, plus the Travel Book Slam

Good news for anyone who hasn’t yet had a chance to witness the Kunstbibliothek’s anniversary show ABC of Travel: we’re extending the exhibition by five weeks until 10 February 2019. Come to the Kulturforum and immerse yourself in the pleasures of travel – without bookings stress, fear of flying, or sunburn.

Frequent flyers, book fanciers and authors present their favourite travel books

A new format, the Travel Book Slam celebrates the close of the events programme by focusing on books and their designs: travel pros and book aficionados introduce their favourite travel books. Images, texts, anecdotes – 10 minutes each, with a different personal perspective each time.

Presenters include Thorsten Klapsch (photographer), Barbara Schaefer (travel journalist), Regine Kiepert (owner of the travel bookstore Schropp) and Hella Knappertsbusch (bookseller), Svenja Goebel (travel and lifestyle blogger), Ingolf Kern (writer) and others.

Let’s see what our slammers select! One thing’s for sure: every travel book opens up a whole world.
