Kulturforum
On Sunday, 13 September 2026, the Kulturforum Berlin will transform into a central event space, both indoors and out – just for one day. For the fifth time, the cultural and scholarly institutions located at the Kulturforum and the St. Matthäus church invite visitors to a public celebration for young and old. In keeping with Open Monument Day, architecture is this year’s focus.
A wide range of offers across all Kulturforum venues invite visitors to come together, see, hear, try things out, join in, and celebrate. Tours, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and walks open new perspectives on architecture and the art of construction. Music and culinary offers, as well as numerous participatory events, make the Kulturforum a place of encounter throughout the day.
Museum offers at the Kulturforum may be utilised on “A Day in Greenery” with the Kulturforum Ticket, valid for all on-site venues, for the special, discounted price of 12 euros (6 euros reduced). Annual pass holders and a guest receive free admission. As always, children and teens under 18 receive free admission.
Berlin’s longest outdoor table, on Scharounplatz, entices visitors all day long to relax and take a break. Those who don’t bring their own picnic can buy culinary treats on the event grounds. Members of the Karajan-Akademie will perform several short concerts on the mobile VeloStage, whilst the artist collective Bündnis Feuer & Flamme invites visitors to enjoy a meal together and socialise in its open-plan kitchen.
