Alte Nationalgalerie
The Alte Nationalgalerie’s latest exhibitionImpressionism – Expressionism has got off to a great start. More than 50,000 visitors flocked to see the major exhibition in its first four weeks. The show on the Museumsinsel Berlin runs until 20 September 2015.
Angelika Wesenberg, exhibition curator, said: 'We are delighted that the media interest in ImEx has been so overwhelming and that so many visitors have come to see the show in the first month alone.’
To avoid the queues, we recommend that visitors take advantage of the extended opening hours until 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. VIP tickets are available online that grant holders immediate admission to the exhibition and include use of an audio-guide. To book, go to: www. imexinberlin.de/vipticket. VIP tickets can also be booked at Berlin tourist information offices, for example in the Europa-Center or Fernsehturm. Group tours for groups of up to 20 participants are also available. We require that all groups give prior notification of their planned visit, via phone: (0) 30-266 42 42 42 or email: service[at]smb.museum. Members with the Jahreskarte ClassicPlus can book a time-slot ticket at no extra charge that grants them immediate admission. The time-slot tickets are available from the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin’s ticket shop.
