08.12.2015
Museum für Fotografie

The book Zartrosa und Lichtblau. Japanische Fotografie der Meiji-Zeit (1868–1912) produced by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, was awarded the German Photography Book Prize as part of the Stuttgart Book Week. It is the only book in the category of “Photographic History/Theory" to have been awarded the “Gold Victory Title"

The prize recognises “outstanding photographic quality, a convincing overall aesthetic impression and an outstanding achievement in terms of photographical technique or history". Edited by Christine Kühn and designed once again by the design studio LMN-Berlin with Günther Karl Bose and Uwe Langner, the book, published by Kerber Verlag, accompanies the homonymous exhibition in the Berlin Museum für Fotografie. The show can be seen until January 10, 2016.

This title was already awarded to one of the Kunstbibliothek's publications two years ago, the Spector Book Idylle + Desaster. Die Fotosammlung Bogomir Ecker, published by Ludger Derenthal and Florian Ebner together with the design studio LMN-Berlin.
