10th Berlin-Brandenburg Colloquium of Conservation Science

Teaching for Practice – Practice for Teaching

The Berlin-Brandenburg Colloquium of Conservation Science is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To mark the anniversary, the focus this year is on the younger generation. On 25 November 2016, the Fachhochschule Potsdam (University of Applied Sciences Potsdam) will welcome any interested attendees who work in the fields of restoration and conservation. The event aims to bring practitioners and educators into conversation. After a series of short presentations, there will be a chance to forge new contacts and share experiences.

Some of the major questions discussed will include:

  • What qualifications do today's college graduates need to work as conservators?
  • What courses of study have proved valuable in recent years?
  • What challenges does the professional world of tomorrow pose for conservators?

Because the annual university summit will be taking place simultaneously in Potsdam, representatives from a range of universities from Austria, Switzerland, and Germany will be available as discussion partners.

Colloquium attendance is free of charge.

Nevertheless, attendees must register before 11 November 2016 by sending an email to the following address: st.laue@fh-potsdam.de.
