The Ethnologisches Museum (Ethnological Museum) and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst (Asian Art Museum), Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, have been closed since early January 2017, while the Museum Europäischer Kulturen (MEK, Museum of European Cultures) has remained in Dahlem.

Staatliche Museen zu Berlin participates in Google Arts & Culture’s global project about fashion


On view is: New museum building at the Kulturforum in Berlin: the bird’s eye simulation shows the dimensions of the planned museum as outlined in the original competition design. The development plan currently on display takes into account a number of changes, including an increased distance to the St.-Matthäus Kirch (see red line). The design will now be adapted to accommodate these changes.
