The bust of a Maria lactans (nursing Madonna) from the 16th century, recently acquired for the Skulpturensammlung, is the centerpiece of the cabinet exhibition. The bust is one of the most delicate and sophisticated Upper Swabian sculptures from the late Middle Ages. It formerly belonged to the Oppenheim Collection. The exhibition presents it together with other works from this collection, which are now in the Bode-Museum.
