Open Access: Online Publications

The Open Access concept stands for free public access to scholarly literature and resources on the Internet.

Each year, specialists and researchers working at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin publish numerous scholarly essays, catalogues and books for its museums, collections and institutes. Many of these texts debut or become available as secondary publications through open access.

The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin partners with arthistoricum.net – Art-Books. to publish books and series released via open access. Moreover, it cooperates with established publishing houses and subject-specific platforms such as the Propylaeum or the Edition Topoi specialist information services dedicated to ancient history and classical studies. Other open access publications are available on the websites of Staatliche Museen zu Berlin venues and institutes.
