Sardinia has more to offer than sun, beaches and picturesque bays. Everywhere on the island you can still find the traces of long-gone cultures. The most striking are, of course, the dolmen graves of the Neolithic Age and the so-called giant graves of the Bronze Age, where it was long believed that giants, giants or the Orcs were buried because of their size. Our curator of the special exhibition "Sardinia - Island of Megaliths", Dr Manfred Nawroth, takes you on a journey into the prehistory of Sardinia and introduces you to the impressive evidence of Neolithic and Bronze Age tomb architecture.
