Late Gothic - Play along: #4 Painting - your motif in color

How did people paint more than five hundred years ago, when there were no ready-made paints in tubes? In the past, painters had to make their own paints - from paint powder. These powders were made, for example, from earth, semi-precious stones, plants, or even lice blood and rubbed with eggs. In the fourth workshop, the paint is mixed for your motif. You will find the appropriate powder in your spice rack.
