Under the heading "Motherhood?", the exhibition "Beyond Compare. Art from Africa in the Bode-Museum" juxtaposes a figure of the Virgin Mary with a mother and child figure. In the run-up to the exhibition, Michel Erhart's Mother of God was in the Bode-Museum's restoration workshop. Restorer Marion Böhl talks about the sculpture and the preparations for the exhibition.
