Seven of the Bode Museum's curators and restorers present their favourite objects and talk about difficulties they have experienced in their own lives. They explain how a work of art can help to overcome small and big crises; even those that seem insumortable.
In an exhibition room in the Bode Museum stands a Spanish bust of Mary. María López-Fanjul comes also from Spain, where in many cities busts of Mary are omnipresent and can be found even in the streets. Mary is like a good old friend, always with you. And when María López-Fanjul feels homesick she only needs to visit the exhibition space to feel back home.
