Visitor Services
David Chipperfield Architects created the building, which covers some 10,900 square metres. It offers visitors a central service area with information counters, group counters and ticket counters as well as individual and group cloakrooms, a café / restaurant, the largest museum shop of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, an auditorium and a special exhibition area.

There are cafés and restaurants at many of the Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin’s museums. If you would like to reserve a table, please contact the respective café operators. You can find their telephone numbers on the homepages of each museum.

For security reasons, larger bags and backpacks may not be taken into the exhibitions. Free cloakrooms and lockers are available at all museums. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to accommodate luggage or travel baggage.

Please allow enough time for the cloakroom so that you can be at your meeting point (admissions desk/information) at the appointed time.

The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin hire out rooms and lecture halls for special events to external parties too. All details are taken care of by the event company Museum&Location.
