25.08.2021 This year’s summer exhibition at the Baroque Köpenick Palace, the branch of the Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts) idyllically located between the Dahme and Spree Rivers, presents paintings on ceramics by Grita Götze, Heidi Manthey and Sonngard Marcks. On the occasion of this special exhibition, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin invites you to a summer festival at Schloss Köpenick on 5 September 2021.
Kunstgewerbemuseum
Following a topical introduction, there will be an opportunity to converse with other visitors and the artists. The three ceramicists have created an entire microcosm of flowers, grasses, fruits, insects and amphibians in their masterly painted works. Some eighty exhibits are spread across three floors of Schloss Köpenick’s permanent exhibition, creating a wide-ranging dialogue between the epochs.
The festival comes to a close in the late summer atmosphere over a beverage in the surrounding park.
