Modelling the impact of future climate change on museum pests - insects and fungi

(Modeling Museum Pests, Fungi, and Indoor Climate)

The aim of the project is to better understand the impact of climate change on pests (insects and fungi) in museums, libraries, and historic buildings.

Insights gained will be used to develop forecasts for populations of typical museum pests in the future based on recent climate change scenarios. In this interdisciplinary project, conservators in museums, entomologists, microbiologists, climate experts, and building specialists collaborate to develop statistical models and future strategies.
