IPM

Integrated Pest Management to prevent from pest infestations within collections of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz

As a cross-institutional program to prevent from biogenous damages in cultural heritage collections, IPM is a comprehensive approach to pest control that uses a combination of physical and biological measures, ecologically based. Since 2009 this program integrates pest management tactics within the 19 Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and other institutions of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz. An IPM-specialized scientist at the Rathgen-Forschungslabor is in function for implementation and further development of the program.
