Rathgen-Forschungslabor

The Rathgen-Forschungslabor and the Forschungsstätte der evangelischen Studiengemeinschaft Heidelberg kindly ask museums to participate in a questionnaire as part of the research project “Green Museum and Climate-Friendly Culture. Environmental Management of Climate-Related Risks in Museums” funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation.

The aim of the project is to develop resource-saving strategies and concepts for preventive conservation, protection and preservation as well as the care of inter-/nationally valuable cultural heritage. For this purpose, we collect national and international best practice examples that have already made their way to the “Green Museum”.

The evaluation of the questionnaire is a central aspect of the project and will provide a general overview of the status quo of the environment, sustainability and climate protection in German and international museums.

By taking part in the short survey, you can significantly support our project. The results of the questionnaire will be summarised in a guideline on green museums.

The project is a cooperation between the Rathgen-Forschungslabor of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and the Forschungsstätte der evangelischen Studiengemeinschaft (FEST, Protestant Institute for Interdisciplinary Research) Heidelberg and is funded by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU, German Federal Environmental Foundation).
