The Pergamonmuseum has been undergoing extensive renovation and modernization since 2013. From 2023 onwards, the building was completely closed, and on June 4, 2027, a large part will reopen. The North Wing and the central building will then once again be accessible with exhibits from the Antikensammlung—including the famous Pergamon Altar and the Hall of Hellenistic Architecture—as well as the entirely newly conceived collection presentation of the Museum für Islamische Kunst.
More information about visiting the Pergamonmuseum will be available here shortly. The guided tour “Highlights of the reopening” is available from 1st of July 2026 here: Bookable guided tours for groups | Staatliche Museen zu Berlin
Significant artefacts from Pergamon along with the monumental panorama by Yadegar Asisi are on display in the exhibition building Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama, located in the direct vicinity of the Museumsinsel. The Pergamonmuseum is completely closed to the public due to construction work.
