Haji Noor Deen is one of the best-known Sini calligraphers of our time. Sini calligraphy has been around since the 14th century. It is the written art of the Muslim minority in China and combines elements of the Arabic and Chinese writing traditions. The Museum für Islamische Kunst in Berlin's Pergamonmuseum honoured Haji Noor Deen's work with a solo exhibition.
