The Pergamonmuseum will reopen its doors in June 2027. Anyone wishing to be among the first visitors at that time can now book group tours of the highlights of the museum.

The Pergamonmuseum will reopen its doors in June 2027. After more than ten years, the Pergamonaltar will once again be on display. Visitors can also look forward to the Museum für Islamische Kunst with a completely new and innovative presentation, as well as an exciting preview of the highlights from the Vorderasiatisches Museum, whose main collections remain housed in the still-closed south wing.

Anyone wishing to secure a place among the first visitors in 2027 can now book a group tour.

2,600 years of human history

The tour, “Highlights at the Pergamonmuseum,” takes visitors on a journey through 2,600 years of human history, from the ancient Pergamonaltar and the victory stele of the Assyrian king Asarhaddon to the early Islamic façade of the caliphal palace Mschatta, concluding in the magnificently painted Aleppo Room from the 17th century. The symbols, forms, and colours of these architectural masterpieces continue to inspire and resonate to this day.

Group tours are available in German and English and can now be booked via the online shop for visits from 8 June 2027 onwards. Tours cost €150 plus museum admission and last approximately 90 minutes (max. 25 persons).
