For five weeks, starting on 23 June 2022, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin invites you to enjoy the Kolonnaden Bar on the Museuminsel Berlin every Thursday night from 7 to 10 pm. Talks, DJ sessions and cool beverages promise a pleasant summer evening at the Kolonnadenhof (Colonnaded Courtyard), located directly alongside the River Spree. Free admission. The Kolonnaden Bar is open, rain or shine.
A large opening launches the programme of events, which are part of the Kultursommerfestival. Fashion designer Esther Perbandt and art critic Cora Knoblauch talk about fashion as a collective experience and search for correspondences among the works from the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin collections. The talk is followed by live concert performances by Deadbeat & Tikiman and Perera Elsewhere. To close the evening, DJs Gebrüder Teichmann spin their tunes. Earlier in the afternoon, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin offers free tours dedicated to the history of the Museumsinsel Berlin, guiding visitors to architecturally distinctive sites.
