Please note: The Neues Museum will be closed for maintenance work from Monday, 16 March 2026 to Wednesday, 18 March 2026.

Notice: The goods lift in the Neues Museum is currently out of service. Access to the Neues Museum from the Archaeological Promenade is currently unavailable for visitors with mobility issues. At the moment, visitors with mobility issues are only able to access the Neues Museum via the eastern entrance and via the lift on the southern side of the building. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Entry to the Neues Museum for Groups

Since July 2019, the James-Simon-Galerie has become the main entrance for all groups visiting the Pergamonmuseum and the Neues Museum. 

  • The James-Simon-Galerie provides ticket sales and coat check services at a central location.
  • Neues Museum: All groups are to check-in at the cash registers/information desk located in the lower lobby of the James-Simon-Galerie ‒ accessible through the courtyard.
