Higher Admission Prices for Museums from 15 January 2024

The Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) is moderately increasing admission prices for the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin beginning on 15 January 2024.

  • The regular single-ticket price for the Altes Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie, Bode-Museum, Gemäldegalerie (Old Master Paintings) or the Museum für Fotographie (Museum of Photography) is increasing from 10 to 12 euros.
  • Admission to Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, the Neue Nationalgalerie, Neues Museum or Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama is increasing from 12 to 14 euros.
  • Admission to visit the Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts), Museum Europäischer Kulturen (MEK, Museum of European Cultures) or the Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg costs 10 euros instead of 8 or 6 euros.
  • Admission to the Kunstbibliothek (Art Library), Kupferstichkabinett (Museum of Prints and Drawings) or Schloss Köpenick costs 8 euros instead of 6.
  • Admission continues to be free to the Friedrichswerdersche Kirche (Friedrichswerder Church) and to the collections of the Ethnologisches Museum (Ethnological Museum) and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst (Asian Art Museum) at the Humboldt Forum.

There are also changes to the prices of Combination Tickets and Annual Passes:

  • The Museumsinsel Ticket costs 24 instead of 19 euros.
  • The ticket for the Kulturforum costs 20 instead of 18 euros.

Annual Passes are priced as follows:

  • Annual Pass, Jahreskarte Basic (all permanent exhibitions during prescribed times): 25 euros
  • Annual Pass, Jahreskarte Classic (all permanent exhibitions during opening hours): 59 instead of 50 euros
  • Annual Pass, Jahreskarte Classic Plus (all permanent and special exhibitions): 118 instead of 100 euros
  • Annual Pass, Jahreskarte Classic reduced continues to cost 25 euros.
  • Annual Pass, Jahreskarte Classic Plus reduced continues to cost 50 euros.

The price of the Three-Day Museum Pass increased on 1 July 2023 to 32 from 29 euros.

Reduced Prices and Free Admission

Admission remains free for visitors under 18 and those entitled to transfer benefits; as previously, reduced-price tickets are available at half price.

In addition, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin participates in the admission-free Museum Sunday programme.
