Advanced Tickets for the Neue Nationalgalerie Go on Sale on 9 August 2021

The Neue Nationalgalerie reopens to the public on 22 August 2021 with the three exhibitions The Art of Society: 1900–1945: The Nationalgalerie Collection, Alexander Calder: Minimal/Maximal and Rosa Barba: In a Perpetual Now. Advanced tickets for the Neue Nationalgalerie go on sale on 9 August 2021. Tickets are released 14 days in advance and can be reserved via the online ticket shop of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.

The Art of Society
1900–1945: The Nationalgalerie Collection

From 22 August 2021 to 2 July 2023

After six years of closure for renovations, the Neue Nationalgalerie will once again present major works of Classical Modernism from the Nationalgalerie collection. The Art of Society shows some 250 paintings and sculptures created between 1900 and 1945 by artists including Otto Dix, Hannah Höch, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Lotte Laserstein and Renée Sintenis.

Alexander Calder. Minimal / Maximal

From 22 August 2021 to 13 February 2022

Alexander Calder (1898–1976) has been closely associated with the Neue Nationalgalerie for decades, thanks to his masterpiece Têtes et Queue (1965). The outdoor sculpture was installed for the inauguration of Mies van der Rohe’s iconic work of architecture and is now returning to the museum terrace for its reopening and the exhibition Alexander Calder. Minimal / Maximal

Rosa Barba. In a Perpetual Now

From 22 August 2021 to 16 January 2022

Berlin-based artist Rosa Barba will present various works under the title In a Perpetual Now. In addition to key pieces from her oeuvre created between 2009 and 2021, a new film produced for the exhibition will also be shown.
