Volkswagen Art4All
4:00 PM TO 8:00 PM
In the last month of the year, after an exciting and turbulent year, the December issue of Volkswagen ART4ALL wants to offer relaxation and comfort through artistic immersion. The video and sound installation “Breath” by British artist Zarah Hussain (b. 1980) shows a geometric animation derived from Islamic patterns. The colorful hypnotic dodecagon slowly changes colour going inward and outward, evoking the ideal rhythm of breathing in and out.
“We live in a world where we are constantly on,” says Hussain. “There is such a benefit to just slowing down and being quiet. Taking time and focus to look inwards, to sit and breathe quietly, to meditate, to contemplate. There's a real power in reclaiming time for yourself." (Zarah Hussain)
Admission and participation are free of charge.
